NAACP Image Awards opens submissions for 58th annual ceremony

Submissions for the 58th NAACP Image Awards are now open for consideration across 108 categories. The awards cover various fields, including motion pictures, television, streaming, recording, literature, and podcasts.

The upcoming ceremony introduces ten new African categories designed to recognize the growing influence of the continent in film, television, and music, aiming to bridge the gap between Africa and the global Black diaspora. These new categories include Outstanding African Television Series, Outstanding African Album, and Outstanding African New Artist.

Additionally, the awards will see the return of the Daytime Drama Category. The show date for the 58th NAACP Image Awards has yet to be announced.
