Nabeul Regional Road 27 duplication project nears completion

Tunisian Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari, has announced the acceleration of work on the duplication of Regional Road No. 27, which connects Menzel Temime to Kélibia in the Nabeul governorate. The 9-kilometer section is currently approximately 50% complete, with work having begun in September 2023. The goal is to finish this section and open it to traffic by the first quarter of 2027.

The broader road project spans 60 kilometers in total with a global cost of approximately 170 million dinars. The first 19-kilometer section between Nabeul and Korba is already finished, while the second 26-kilometer section between Korba and Menzel Temime is expected to be received in the coming weeks.

This strategic artery is intended to ease heavy traffic, particularly during the summer months when tourist influx is high. Additional plans include a bypass for the city of Korba to reduce congestion, with construction for that phase expected to begin in early 2027 at a cost exceeding 70 million dinars.
