Nabiax begins construction of 800 million euro data center in Alcalá de Henares

Nabiax has officially broken ground on the Alcalá Data Center 3 (ADC3) in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. The project represents an investment of approximately 800 million euros and aims to expand the company’s technological campus to meet the rising demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence workloads.

The facility is expected to provide up to 100 MW of IT power, with a progressive deployment planned through 2029. This development will bring the company's total potential installed IT power in Spain to 135 MW. The construction has been awarded to Ferrovial, while Redeia will develop a new electrical substation exceeding 100 MW to power the campus.

The project is estimated to create 1,200 jobs in total, including 1,000 positions during the construction phase and 200 highly skilled roles for ongoing operations. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the Mayor of Alcalá de Henares, Judith Piquet.
