NAC Breda dismisses head coach Carl Hoefkens

NAC Breda has dismissed head coach Carl Hoefkens following a 4-2 defeat against RKC Waalwijk. The decision comes just five matches into the Keuken Kampioen Divisie season, with the club currently sitting in eleventh place with seven points.

Club leadership, including technical director Peter Maas and general director Remco Oversier, stated that the dismissal follows an extensive evaluation conducted during the summer. According to a joint statement, the club felt compelled to take this step because several improvement points identified during that evaluation were not realized.

Hoefkens, a 47-year-old Belgian, had previously committed to leading the club back to the Eredivisie after their recent relegation. Assistant coaches Serdal Güvenç and Michael Dingsdag will temporarily oversee team duties while the club searches for a permanent replacement.
