Nación Verde promotes forest restoration at Mexico Carbon Forum

At the Mexico Carbon Forum 2026 held in Aguascalientes, the ecological association Nación Verde highlighted the growing importance of forest restoration and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) within carbon market discussions.

Gustavo López, a member of Nación Verde, participated in a specialized panel to discuss how ecosystem conservation can address climate change, biodiversity loss, ecosystem degradation, and water availability. The organization aims to integrate these conservation efforts into broader climate action and carbon market strategies.

As part of the event, Nación Verde participated in a symbolic reforestation effort at the Grupo Modelo planters within the Complejo Ferrocarrilero Tres Centurias, planting native and ornamental trees suited to the local climate.
