Nacional-AM defeated CSA 3-1 in the first leg of the Série D access playoffs at the Arena da Amazônia in Manaus. The decisive match, held on Thursday, August 27, saw all four goals scored in the first half.
Sassá opened the scoring for Nacional-AM in the first minute, followed by a penalty converted by Renanzinho in the 15th minute. Although Matheus Melo scored for CSA in the 18th minute, Rafa Marcos restored the two-goal lead for the home side in the 33rd minute.
Due to their superior overall campaign, CSA holds a tactical advantage: they will advance to Série C in the event of an aggregate tie.
