Nacogdoches K-9 officer assists in $920,000 cocaine seizure

A new K-9 officer named Milo assisted the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office in a major cocaine seizure on Tuesday morning. During a traffic stop of a white Nissan SUV on SW Stallings Drive, Milo alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics.

Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered a false compartment in the trunk equipped with hydraulic cylinders and a switch. Inside the compartment, officers found 46 kilograms of cocaine, valued at approximately $920,000.

Three individuals were arrested: Andre Nelson, 65, of Georgia; Antonio Colon, 46, of Illinois; and Latrisha Crims, 32, of Humble, Texas. All three face charges of manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and unlawful use of a criminal instrument, a second-degree felony. Bond has been set at $500,000 for the felony drug charge.
