NACON releases free 'Dracomundus Purgatory' update for Dragonkin: The Banished with cross‑play

NACON has launched a free update titled Dracomundus Purgatory for the action‑RPG Dragonkin: The Banished. The patch introduces full cross‑play, letting players on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC join the same sessions.

The update adds a new end‑game hunt called Dracomundus Purgatory. After completing a portal, players race through three islands chosen from a pool of more than fifty, battling enemies before a timer expires. Destroying draconic altars grants extra seconds, and the final island culminates in a boss fight with the Champion of the Purgatory.

A brand‑new equipment class, Voracious weapons, appears with unique passive traits. Players may sacrifice other weapons to transfer their power and upgrade Voracious gear. Additionally, the city‑transfer feature lets a player move an online city to offline mode and back without losing progress. The base game, released in March 2026, is now also available widely in physical retail.
