Nadia Orlando Memorial march raises funds to combat violence against women

The seventh edition of the memorial dedicated to Nadia Orlando, a young woman killed in a femicide, took place in Vidulis di Dignano. The event, titled “Marcia con il cuore sul fiume” (March with the heart on the river), involved a walk along the Tagliamento river to honor her memory and raise funds for social causes.

All proceeds from registration fees are being allocated to combat violence against women, provide psychological support for youth, and support the activities of the Due Pistoni Association. The memorial included three different walking routes of 5, 8, and 14 kilometers to encourage community participation.

Regional Finance Councilor Barbara Zilli attended the event, noting that the initiative serves an educational purpose for younger generations to prevent such tragedies from recurring. The event combined commemoration with community engagement and local territory exploration.
