Nadir Rossi arrested for alleged murder of wife with insulin
Nadir Rossi, a 34-year-old former emergency room nurse, has been arrested and accused of murdering his wife, Jessica Dalla Chiara, in Bussolengo, Italy, in June 2024. Prosecutors allege that Rossi administered non-therapeutic doses of insulin to Dalla Chiara to induce hypoglycemic crises, ultimately leading to her death.
Investigators claim the motive was to collect a 100,000 euro life insurance policy. To prevent an autopsy that might reveal the cause of death, Rossi allegedly orchestrated the cremation of his wife's body. He reportedly misled others by claiming the cremation was agreed upon with the victim's family, who had actually opposed the decision.
Evidence cited by authorities includes online searches regarding hypoglycemia and toxicology conducted by Rossi in the months prior to the death. Clinical assessments also confirmed that Dalla Chiara had no history of diabetes. Rossi faces multiple charges, including premeditated murder, attempted murder, embezzlement, and concealment of a corpse.
