Nadowli-Kaleo MP reports GH¢2.44 million in development investments

Anthony Mwinkaara Sumah, the Member of Parliament for the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency in Ghana's Upper West Region, has reported that GH¢2.44 million was invested in local development projects and programs between January 2025 and September 2026.

According to a statement released by Constituency Communications Officer Biekpe Sylvester, the funding supported several sectors, including education, healthcare, road maintenance, rural electrification, and community development. In the education sector, GH¢418,821 was provided to 158 tertiary students through the TESS Fund, while 183 students received GETFund scholarships. Additionally, over 16,000 schoolchildren received free uniforms.

Healthcare investments totaled GH¢594,370.93, covering maternity facilities, medical assistance, and health screenings. The funds also supported road improvements and various infrastructure projects. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) defended these records against allegations from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding a 24-hour economy market project, asserting that construction has progressed too far for any project variations to occur.
