NAFDAC outlines reporting channels for fake and substandard drugs

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has announced several channels for Nigerians to report suspected fake, substandard, or unregistered medicines, as well as adverse reactions to regulated medical products.

To report adverse reactions to medicines, vaccines, or other regulated products, consumers can use the MedSafety application, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Reports can also be submitted via email to pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng or through the e-reporting platform on the agency’s official website.

For reporting suspected falsified, fake, or unregistered medical products, the agency recommends using the NAFDAC Greenbook application. Alternative reporting methods include the Greenbook web platform, email at sf.alerts@nafdac.gov.ng, or by calling 0800-162-3322.
