Naga People’s Front marks 64th Foundation Day in Kohima

The Naga People’s Front (NPF) celebrated its 64th Foundation Day in Kohima, where Chief Minister and NPF President Dr. Neiphiu Rio addressed party members regarding the organization's future and the ongoing Naga political issue.

Dr. Rio identified three primary priorities for the party: addressing the unresolved Naga political issue, strengthening the party's grassroots foundation, and creating opportunities for a new generation of leadership. Regarding the political settlement, Rio stated that the state government acts as a facilitator rather than a negotiating party, aiming to maintain trust and bridge gaps between stakeholders.

He emphasized that a final settlement requires sincerity from the central government in Delhi and a willingness to accommodate and compromise among Naga groups. Rio noted that achieving peace is essential for stable governance, public confidence, and development in Nagaland.
