Naga Students’ Federation to verify NEET State Quota candidates

The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will conduct physical document verification for candidates who qualified through NEET for professional courses under the Nagaland State Quota. The exercise is scheduled for August 25 and 26 at the NSF office in Kohima.

Overseen by the NSF Education Committee, the process aims to ensure that only indigenous Nagas are claiming seats reserved under the state quota. The Federation noted that some non-indigenous applicants have attempted to claim these seats and stated it would not entertain such claims. Candidates found submitting fraudulent or misleading documents may face action.

All candidates must appear in person with a parent or guardian. Required original documents include a recent passport-sized photograph, NEET admit card and score card, HSLC and HSSLC admit cards, a Scheduled Tribe Certificate, and an Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate. Failure to complete verification during the specified dates will result in ineligibility for the state quota allotment.
