Nagahama Distillery to release ninth single malt batch

Nagahama Distillery, operated by Nagahama Roman Beer, has announced the release of its ninth single malt expression, ‘Single Malt Nagahama THE NINTH BATCH’. The product is scheduled for sale starting September 15, 2026.

The whisky features a complex maturation process involving wine casks, sherry casks, and Islay quarter cask peated spirits. To add a Japanese aesthetic, the distillery utilized cherry blossom (sakura) casks to provide an oriental and spicy essence. The release is limited to 5,700 bottles, with a capacity of 500ml and an alcohol content of 50%.
