Nagaland and BRAC International launch SAY-SOBLOK program
The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), operating under the state's Rural Development Department, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BRAC International to launch the SAY-SOBLOK programme. This three-year initiative is designed to support 4,000 extremely vulnerable households across Nagaland.
The programme utilizes BRAC’s Graduation Approach to transition families toward sustainable livelihoods and economic security. The intervention will include intensive household-level coaching, livelihood development, financial inclusion, and improved access to essential services and government entitlements.
Aligned with the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (SAY) under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission, the project aims to address immediate needs while building long-term resilience. Officials noted that the collaboration will be adapted to meet the specific socio-economic conditions of the region.
