Nagaland CAWD Advisor inspects infrastructure projects
Kudecho Khamo, the Nagaland Advisor for the Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD), conducted inspections of several ongoing construction projects across multiple districts, including Tseminyu, Wokha, Mokokchung, Longkhim, Tuensang, Noklak, and Shamator.
The inspections focused on administrative buildings and residential quarters intended to improve public service delivery and administrative efficiency. In Tseminyu, the team reviewed a new Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex and flat-type quarters funded by the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme and state funds. In Wokha, officials inspected a new DC Office Complex designed to house multiple administrative departments.
While expressing satisfaction with the progress and workmanship in some areas, Khamo raised concerns regarding the slow pace of construction at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex in Noklak. He urged contractors to ensure timely completion and noted the dilapidated condition of various existing government offices and staff quarters across the state. Khamo stated he would seek government intervention to address these infrastructure needs, noting that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is prioritizing the administrative sector.
