Nagaland Civil Service Association calls for inquiry into Kiphire DC allegations

The Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) has called on the state government to launch an impartial and time-bound inquiry into allegations made against Temsuwati Longkumer, the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire.

NCSA President Kethosituo Sekhose stated that while the association recognizes the right of citizens to raise grievances against public servants, allegations of misconduct must be examined by competent authorities in accordance with the law. The association expressed concern regarding the widespread circulation of these claims on social media, warning that premature conclusions and personal attacks could cause irreversible harm to an officer's reputation and potentially prejudice a fair investigation.

The NCSA urged the public, media, and civil society organizations to exercise restraint and refrain from treating unverified claims as proof of wrongdoing or conducting a 'trial by social media.'
