Nagaland colleges host seminars on history and entrepreneurship

Educational institutions across Nagaland recently conducted various academic and awareness programs focusing on history, entrepreneurship, and mental health.

At Modern College, Piphema, a state-level seminar addressed the theme of decolonizing Naga history and culture. The event featured 21 paper presenters from colleges in Nagaland and Manipur, emphasizing the importance of reclaiming indigenous narratives.

Entrepreneurship was a central theme at several institutions. Pranab College observed Entrepreneurship Day with an innovation competition and a campus sale to provide practical experience. Similarly, the Department of Information Technology at Nagaland University hosted a session led by Er. Dhiraj Kalita, which covered financial planning, investment opportunities, and government subsidies for aspiring start-ups. The sessions aimed to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare for evolving professional environments.
