Nagaland Governor reviews Kohima Smart City Mission progress
Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav reviewed the progress of the Kohima Smart City Mission during a meeting with officials from Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) at Lok Bhavan.
Officials reported that 40 projects have been completed to date, consisting of 34 projects sanctioned under the Mission and six additional projects. Developed infrastructure includes the Kohima City Centre, a commercial complex, multi-level car parking, a Mini Sports Complex, the Capital Cultural Hall, and various community halls and footpaths. These developments focus on urban amenities, mobility, and public spaces.
The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) has been commissioned, providing 24-hour CCTV surveillance at 80 locations across Kohima. The system supports traffic management, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), and police coordination. Data indicated a 76.47% success rate in cases where ICCC surveillance assisted investigations between November 2025 and September 2026.
