Nagaland launches first Tech & Gaming Expo 2026 in Kohima
Nagaland will host its inaugural Tech & Gaming Expo (TXG) 2026 on August 28‑29 at the NBCC Convention Hall in Kohima. Organized by the Nagaland E‑Sports Society in partnership with the Government of Nagaland, the two‑day event aims to position the state as an emerging gaming and innovation hub in India's Northeast.
The expo combines competitive esports tournaments, a game‑development showcase, technology exhibitions and career‑focused sessions. Three main competition tracks each carry a prize pool of Rs 1 lakh: an Inter‑College Championship, an Open MOBA 5v5 tournament on Mobile Legends, and a series of mini‑tournaments featuring titles such as EA Sports FC 26, Clash Royale, Tekken 8, Dirt Rally 2.0, Street Fighter 6 and Ludo King. Matches will be livestreamed with professional shoutcasters.
Beyond the tournaments, the programme includes panels, workshops, mentoring and interactive gaming zones, highlighting technologies like artificial intelligence, cloud computing and real‑time graphics that drive both modern games and the broader digital economy. Organisers envision TXG as an annual platform to foster skill development, entrepreneurship and industry exposure for students, developers and startups in the region.
