Nagaland prepares for 80th Independence Day celebrations

Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha chaired a coordination meeting at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat in Kohima on July 7 to review preparations for the state's 80th Independence Day celebration. Officials from multiple departments discussed work distribution, parade management, ceremonial functions, cultural programmes and logistics, noting that the state follows a uniform programme across all districts.

Sinha emphasized meticulous planning and inter‑departmental coordination, saying detailed instructions will be issued to all departments and Deputy Commissioners to ensure a smooth and dignified celebration of the milestone occasion.
