Nagaland University faculty recognized in world’s top 2% scientists list

Four faculty members from Nagaland University have been named in the world’s top 2% scientists list, a ranking compiled by researchers at Stanford University. The recognized academics include Prof. Prabhakar Sharma in Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Prof. Ambrish Singh in Chemistry, Prof. Joginder Singh in Botany, and Prof. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar in Biotechnology.

In addition to the general ranking, three of these faculty members—Prof. Ambrish Singh, Prof. Joginder Singh, and Prof. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar—were also included in the Career-Long Top 2% Scientists category, which recognizes sustained research impact over the course of their professional lives.

The ranking utilizes standardized bibliometric indicators, such as the h-index and citation counts from Scopus data, to classify researchers across various scientific fields and sub-fields.
