Nagaland University hosts East Zone women’s table tennis tournament

Nagaland University inaugurated the East Zone Inter-University Women’s Table Tennis Tournament 2026–27 on October 26 at the I. Ihoshe Kinimi Hall in Lumami. The event brings together female athletes from various universities across different states.

Prof. Bendang Ao, Director of the university’s Research and Development Cell, attended as chief guest, while Registrar Dr. Abemo served as the guest of honour. During the ceremony, officials emphasized the role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, encouraging participants to use the competition to build institutional and regional connections.

The tournament aims to promote women’s participation in competitive sports and strengthen the sporting culture within higher education.
