NAGASE Cup 2026 inclusive athletics event to be held in September

The NAGASE Cup 2026, an inclusive track and field event sponsored by Nagase & Co., Ltd., is scheduled to take place on September 21 and 22, 2026, at the MUFG Stadium. The competition features ‘elite races’ involving world-class athletes, including Shota Iizuka, Hiroki Yanagita, and Ryota Yamagata in the men's 100m, and Kazuyoshi Tamogami in the 800m.

The event also highlights para-athletics, with Yuki Iwata and Shinya Wada scheduled to compete in the 1500m. Designed to promote inclusivity, the cup offers various interactive experiences such as wheelchair, prosthetic limb, and blindfold trials, alongside family-oriented activities like sports aptitude testing and running clinics led by Olympic silver medalists Noriharu Asahara and Naoki Tsukahara. Former Japanese record holder Asuka Terada will also attend to support the athletes.
