Nagoya educational institutions host research and teaching workshops
Educational institutions in Nagoya are hosting initiatives to enhance learning experiences for students and teachers. Nagoya University and Kawaijuku will co-host the “Nagoya University Laboratory Doors” event in September 2026. This free program allows high school and junior high school students to hear directly from university professors about cutting-edge research in fields such as literature, medicine, economics, and agriculture.
Separately, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business held its third “Case Teaching Workshop” in August 2026. The three-day workshop hosted 43 high school teachers from across Japan to learn the “case method,” a teaching technique where students learn decision-making through real-world scenarios and discussion. The program aimed to help educators transition from learning the method to implementing it within their own classrooms.
