Nagpur Police deploy 6,400 personnel for Ganesh Visarjan

Nagpur Police have implemented extensive security measures for the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi. Approximately 6,400 police personnel will be deployed to manage the immersion of over 1,700 public Ganesh mandals and more than 200,000 domestic idols.

To ensure public safety, authorities will utilize 2,958 CCTV cameras and drones for continuous monitoring via a command control center. In compliance with directives from the Bombay High Court and the Nagpur Bench, a ban has been placed on laser beam lights and laser sound systems.

Traffic restrictions will be in effect on September 25 and 26 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, during which heavy vehicles will be prohibited on several routes. Traffic will be diverted through alternative paths, including routes toward Ramkulur, Jadhav Chowk, and Raman Science Park to manage the expected crowds at major immersion sites like Koradi and Gorewada.
