Nagpur: Woman stabbed to death in hotel room; man injured

A 28-year-old woman, identified as Shivani Gajbhiye, was stabbed to death inside a hotel room in the Manish Nagar area of Nagpur on Tuesday night. The incident occurred at the HRG Destiny hotel, where the victim and the suspect, 40-year-old Kiran Atram, had checked into room 302.

Both individuals were railway employees who were reportedly involved in a relationship. Following the attack, Atram sustained serious injuries to his neck and wrists in what is suspected to be a suicide attempt. Hotel staff discovered the scene after hearing screams, finding both individuals in a pool of blood.

While Gajbhiye was declared dead, Atram was transported to a medical hospital where he remains in critical condition. Preliminary police investigations suggest the violence may have been triggered by an argument regarding marriage. Authorities are currently investigating whether the attack was a spontaneous altercation or a premeditated act.
