Nagua man reports alleged US$28,000 robbery

A young man from Nagua, identified as Luiyi Germosen, has reported an alleged robbery in the María Trinidad Sánchez province. Germosen claims that after meeting two women at a local establishment, he and a cousin moved to a pool area to continue socializing.

According to the report, the group entered a room, after which Germosen lost consciousness. He and his cousin did not wake up until Saturday, when a relative arrived to check on them. Germosen suspects that a substance may have been used to render them unconscious, noting a video that allegedly shows one of the women moving a container.

The complainant reported the loss of RD$200,000 in cash and various jewelry items, including chains, rings, and a watch, with a total estimated value of approximately US$28,000. Four perfumes were also reportedly stolen. Authorities have not yet confirmed the details regarding the potential use of a sedative.
