Nahdlatul Ulama initiates organizational consolidation and regulation socialization

The Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) has launched a series of initiatives to consolidate its leadership and socialize the new Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) resulting from the 35th Muktamar held in Jombang.

In a recent online meeting attended by over 500 regional and overseas leaders, PBNU officials explained that the new regulations standardize leadership election mechanisms, strengthen asset management, and prohibit political dual roles for top leaders. The socialization strategy follows a ‘center-to-periphery’ model, targeting regional and branch boards (PWNU and PCNU) across Indonesia, including those in minority areas and outside Java.

Simultaneously, PBNU leadership has addressed allegations regarding the 35th Muktamar. Vice Chairman Saifullah Yusuf denied claims that corruption funds were used to finance the event, challenging accusers to provide evidence and noting that the organization is preparing legal action against those spreading unsubstantiated rumors. Additionally, regional leaders in West Kalimantan have issued clarifications to deny involvement in alleged political maneuvering during the congress.
