Nahdlatul Ulama’s 35th Muktamar in Jombang Offers Free Massage and Coffee to Participants

The 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Muktamar convened at Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum in Tambakberas, Jombang, Indonesia. Around 100 volunteer masseurs, many alumni of the pesantren, provided free massage services at three stations – MAN 3 Jombang, MTsN 3 Jombang and Universitas KH A. Wahab Hasbullah – to help exhausted delegates.

Alumni of the same pesantren also prepared roughly 25,000 cups of complimentary coffee. The coffee, supplied by a former student now a coffee entrepreneur in Jember, was distributed at five points across the venue and via mobile teams to reach participants throughout the event. Both initiatives were coordinated by local committee chair KH Abdurrozaq Sholeh (Gus Rozaq) and highlighted the spirit of khidmah among NU members.
