Nahr al-Baid Camp demonstration marks Al-Aqsa anniversary

Palestinian factions and the Popular Committee organized a demonstration in the Nahr al-Baid refugee camp in Lebanon to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson. The gathering served as a platform to express solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank amidst ongoing Israeli military operations.

Speakers at the event, including Hamas political official Abu Suhaib al-Sharif and Prisoners Committee head Jamal Skaff, addressed the historical implications of the 1969 Al-Aqsa arson and current tensions in Jerusalem. They also condemned military actions in southern Lebanon and Syria.

The demonstration highlighted the humanitarian situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, specifically warning about the potential impact of funding reductions for UNRWA on refugee livelihoods. Participants called for unified Palestinian positions and increased international and Arab-Islamic action against Israeli policies.
