Nahuel Ferraresi may miss Botafogo derby against Vasco

Botafogo defender Nahuel Ferraresi may miss the upcoming Campeonato Brasileiro derby against Vasco da Gama scheduled for October 7 due to international duty. The Venezuelan defender has been called up by the Venezuelan Football Federation for a series of international friendlies in Asia, including matches against Morocco, South Korea, and Jordan.

Because the final match in Asia is scheduled for October 6, the day before the derby, logistical challenges regarding his return to Brazil may prevent him from participating. Ferraresi has been a key pillar of the Botafogo defense since joining in March, starting nearly every match since May.

Additionally, Botafogo midfielder Danilo Santos has also been called up to the Brazilian national team for friendlies against Australia and India, though his schedule provides a larger window for him to return before the match against Vasco.
