Nahuel Huapi National Park to enhance visitor and emergency services
Nahuel Huapi National Park has signed a two-year inter-administrative agreement to enhance visitor services, access management, and emergency response within the protected area. The agreement involves the National Parks Administration (APN), the Government of Río Negro, and local development commissions from Villa Mascardi, Villa Llanquín, and El Manso.
Key improvements include the management of access fee collections and comprehensive visitor assistance at strategic locations, such as the information center at Cerro Tronador and Cascada Los Alerces. Services will feature online ticket sales, access validation for tourism providers, and safety and environmental recommendations. Additionally, the agreement covers permanent maintenance and cleaning of public facilities, as well as the provision of a helicopter for emergency services.
