Nail care linked to increased psychological well-being

A study by Professor Atsushi Kawakubo, published in the journal Frontiers in Psychology, suggests that nail care can significantly increase positive emotions, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

According to the research, looking at well-groomed nails can trigger a dopamine release, which boosts self-esteem, mood, and productivity due to the visual stimulus of order and completion. The psychological benefits are reportedly enhanced when receiving professional care at a salon, as the sensation of being cared for by others contributes to overall well-being.
