Nainital vehicle accident injures approximately 20 tourists

Approximately 20 tourists were injured after a tempo traveller plunged into a deep gorge near Lakshmi Khan in the Malla Ramgarh area of Nainital district.

Following the accident, police teams from Ramgarh and Bhawali, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local residents, conducted a rescue operation. The injured individuals were transported to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Ramgarh for medical treatment.

The incident follows a recent spate of accidents in the Uttarakhand region, including a separate occurrence on the Bhowali-Ramgarh road where a car skidded off the route and fell 50 metres into a ravine, injuring two passengers.
