Nairobi apartment raid uncovers 320 rounds of ammunition and fake gun

Police in Nairobi recovered a silver-coloured imitation firearm and 320 rounds of ammunition after a tenant raised suspicions about a rented flat in the Mowlem area. The caretaker noticed the firearm on a table and, after a woman briefly entered the apartment and left with luggage, alerted the landlord who called police. Investigators seized 120 rounds of 9×19 mm, 134 rounds of 5.56×45 mm and 66 rounds of 7.62×39 mm, along with the replica gun, and secured them as evidence at the station armoury.

No arrests have been made; authorities are probing the source of the ammunition and trying to identify the tenant and the woman seen leaving the premises.
