Naitsabé Martínez selected for Mexico's Children's Symphony Orchestra

Naitsabé Martínez Rendón, a 17-year-old violinist and student at the Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes (IUBA) of the Universidad de Colima, has been selected for the second consecutive year to join the Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil de México (OSIM).

Following a national audition process, Martínez Rendón was the sole representative from Colima among 142 musicians selected from 24 Mexican states and several international locations, including Costa Rica, Panama, and Uruguay. She participated in the 34th OSIM Intensive Study Camp in Morelos, receiving specialized training under instructors Vladimir Tokarev and Cuauhtémoc Rivera.

The orchestra, under the artistic direction of Roberto Rentería Yrene, conducted its 34th National Concert Tour from August 3 to August 9, 2026. The tour included seven performances across several Mexican states, including Morelos, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, and concluded at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.
