Najran Governor praises role of regional civil associations

Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the Governor of Najran, praised the role of the non-profit sector in serving the community and driving regional development. During a meeting with Dhafer bin Dhaifullah Al-Qarni, Chairman of the Najran Civil Associations Council, the Governor emphasized the importance of expanding the geographic reach of civil associations to include various governorates and centers within the region.

The Council reported that it currently oversees 139 civil associations in the region and has implemented 39 programs and initiatives over the past year. These efforts include coordinating between associations, building organizational capacity, and fostering partnerships with government entities, the private sector, and donors.

Key initiatives discussed included the ‘Sanabel Al-Khair’ project, involving 23 associations, and the Excellence Award in Civil Work, which aims to promote institutional excellence and sustainable developmental impact within the non-profit sector.
