Nakagawa Canal hosts OVERLAP event in Nagoya

The OVERLAP event, titled ‘OVERLAP ~City, Waterfront, and People Intersect, Nakagawa Canal~’, is being held at the Horitome area of the Nakagawa Canal in Nagoya from September 19 to October 24.

Key attractions include a drone show featuring approximately 200 drones organized by the creative group Red Cliff. This performance will be synchronized with a slackline show performed by two international award-winning athletes on lines stretched over the water. These shows are scheduled for September 19 and October 18.

Other activities include an ‘Asian Marche’ featuring various food and drink stalls from countries such as Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. Additionally, urban sports workshops for BMX, parkour, and slacklining will be available for participants. A 7-meter tall ‘Piyorin’ balloon, created via crowdfunding, will be on display at the Horitome Green Space with evening light-up sessions.
