Nakau and Marugame Seimen launch new seasonal and high-volume udon menus

Japanese restaurant chains Nakau and Marugame Seimen have introduced new seasonal and high-volume menu items.

Nakau is launching its ‘Tsukimi Ontama Beef Tsukedon Udon’ on September 16. The dish features udon served with a Kansai-style broth containing sukiyaki-flavored beef, white leeks, and konjac, topped with a soft-boiled egg. A spicy version using gochujang, doubanjiang, and miso is also available. The menu includes variations with buckwheat noodles and different spice levels.

Marugame Seimen has released two types of dipping udon: ‘Rich Seafood Pork Tsukedon Udon’ and a spicy version. A notable feature of these offerings is the ability to select between 1 and 3 servings of noodles for the same price of 1,090 yen. The seafood version includes pork shabu-shabu, komatsuna namul, and seaweed, while the spicy version features a sweet broth enhanced with chili oil.
