Nakhrewaalii romantic comedy set for October 2026 release

The upcoming Indian romantic comedy “Nakhrewaalii” is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 30, 2026, strategically timed during the Diwali festival period. Produced by Jio Studios and Colour Yellow—the production house founded by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma—the film marks the directorial debut of Rahul Shanklya.

Described as a “womantic comedy,” the film features newcomers Ansh Duggal and Pragati Srivastava in the lead roles. The story, written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, aims to explore contemporary relationships, shifting gender dynamics, and social expectations, including themes of women’s safety. The film’s promotional tagline, “Kabhi Kabhi Pyaar Mein Majnu Ko Bhi Laila Banna Padta Hai,” suggests a reversal of traditional gender roles in romance.
