Naki Groothandel acquires greenhouse businesses near Venlo

Naki Groothandel, a wholesaler owned by the German Güneser family, has acquired several greenhouse horticulture businesses near Venlo, Netherlands. The investment covers approximately 210,000 square meters of cultivation area spread across multiple greenhouses.

Strategically located near the border junction of the A67 in the Netherlands and the A40 in Germany, the facilities will produce aubergines, cucumbers, mini-cucumbers, and Çıtır cucumbers. The company aims to expand its range of home-grown produce beyond its established Turkish products, which are grown through the CNG Group in Turkey.

By managing the entire supply chain and eliminating middlemen, Naki Groothandel intends to offer competitive pricing to the European market, specifically targeting Germany as its largest sales market. The first harvests from the Dutch greenhouses are expected in January.
