Istanbul social housing: TOKİ rental application process concludes
The application process for the first phase of the TOKİ rental social housing project in Istanbul has concluded. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that the review stage has begun, with the lottery to determine the recipients of 1,071 units scheduled for October.
To qualify, applicants must be married Turkish citizens over 18, have a household income below 100,000 TL, not own a home, and have resided in Istanbul for at least one continuous year. The project offers various apartment sizes, from 1+1 to 4+1, with monthly rents starting at 10,000 TL. Rent increases will be frozen for the first 12 months following delivery.
The 1,071 units are distributed across several Istanbul districts, including Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu, Güngören, Maltepe, Tuzla, Kartal, Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, Üsküdar, and Arnavutköy. Specific rental rates vary by district and apartment type.
