Ünal Üstel proposes simultaneous parliamentary and local elections

Ünal Üstel, leader of the National Unity Party (UBP) and Prime Minister, has announced plans to submit a proposal to Parliament to hold parliamentary and local elections simultaneously. During a series of village visits in the Kyrenia region, Üstel emphasized that maintaining political stability is essential for the uninterrupted continuation of government investments and services.

Üstel highlighted that the current administration has completed long-standing projects and initiated new ones necessary for the country. He specifically noted increased investments in youth and sports to help young people overcome international isolation and represent the community effectively on global platforms.

Regarding the economy, Üstel addressed inflation concerns, stating that the government will continue to implement measures to protect the purchasing power of workers, retirees, the self-employed, and the private sector.
