Nalanda Police detain three minors for Shiva temple vandalism
Three minors, aged between four and five years, have been detained by the Nalanda Police following an incident of vandalism at a Shiva temple in the Sherpur area of Bihar's Nalanda district.
CCTV footage from the temple premises reportedly captured the children throwing stones and bricks, attempting to damage the idol, and urinating near the Shivalinga while using abusive language. Local residents, including Suraj Kumar and Aman Kumar, reported that they discovered the debris on Saturday and subsequently reviewed the footage.
To prevent the situation from escalating, locals informed the administration and police immediately. Residents also raised concerns regarding illegal encroachment on temple pathways and previous incidents of theft at the site.
