Nam A Bank secures $30 million in green financing from Proparco

Nam A Bank has successfully secured a $30 million credit agreement from Proparco, a development finance institution under the French Development Agency (AFD). The five-year financing is intended to expand the bank's green credit portfolio in Vietnam.

The funds will be prioritized for key sectors including renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change adaptation, and green construction projects. This agreement follows a memorandum of understanding signed in Paris in March 2026 and serves as a concrete result of the ‘Green Finance Community’ initiative launched by Nam A Bank at the Vietnam International Financial Center (VIFC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nam A Bank Deputy General Director Vo Hoang Hai stated that the funding demonstrates international confidence in the bank's management and will support SMEs, women-led businesses, and sustainable agricultural models through affordable credit solutions.
