Nam A Bank secures $50 million trade‑finance line with Asian Development Bank

Nam A Bank has become a member of the Asian Development Bank's Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) after signing an Issuing Bank Agreement with the multilateral lender. Under the agreement ADB will provide a $50 million trade‑finance limit for Nam A Bank, enabling the issuance of guarantees to confirming banks and expanding the bank’s product suite, including letters of credit, standby letters of credit, documentary discounting, bill acceptance and short‑term trade loans.

The partnership aims to boost the bank’s capacity to support Vietnamese small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs), deepen connections with global banking networks, promote green trade‑finance and accelerate digitalisation of trade‑finance operations. Nam A Bank’s deputy general director Võ Hoàng Hải said the collaboration “confirms the bank’s credibility and financial strength on the international market.” The move complements the bank’s broader strategy of attracting long‑term foreign capital from institutions such as IFC, J.P. Morgan and others.
