Thăng Long - Hà Nội Festival 2026 concludes with 250,000 visitors

The Thăng Long - Hà Nội Festival 2026, themed ‘Heritage Flow’, concluded its 10-day run, attracting over 250,000 visitors and featuring more than 3,000 artists and 100 artisans. The event utilized various cultural landmarks across the capital, including the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Museum, and Bát Tràng pottery village.

Key activities included immersive historical experiences at the Temple of Literature, drum performances from various regions, and ‘Ceramic Sounds’ at Bát Tràng, which combined pottery with music and installation art. The festival also hosted the Hanoi International Jazz Festival 2026, which drew over 12,000 spectators.

While the festival demonstrated the significant appeal of heritage when integrated with modern technology and performing arts, experts noted the ongoing challenge of transforming such events into sustainable cultural industries. The goal remains to convert high visitor numbers into long-term economic value and a consistent cultural market.
