Namakkal: Four girls killed after college bus rams two-wheeler
Four girls, including three sisters, were killed in a road accident near Tiruchengode in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday, September 3. The victims have been identified as 19-year-old Subitha Kalaiselvi, her sisters Nivetha (17) and Thanusree (12), and their relative Abinaya (11).
According to police reports, Subitha was traveling on a two-wheeler to pick up her younger sisters and Abinaya from school. While attempting to cross the Rasipuram-Tiruchengode Road at the Sankarampalayam junction, a private college bus heading towards Rasipuram rammed the two-wheeler. The impact caused all four girls to be thrown from the vehicle, resulting in their deaths at the scene.
The Elachipalayam police have registered a case and are currently searching for the driver of the college bus, who fled the area immediately following the collision.
